To use the slicker, slowly and gently brush the hair in the direction of the fur growth. The bendy pins will pull away loose hairs hair leaving a smooth coat. If your dog is comfortable with the slicker, press gently on the tool to remove more fur from the undercoat. The pins of the slicker are bendy to prevent discomfort, however, do not press them into your dog's skin. 

Grooming tips: Grog is a wonderful way to bond with your dog, but dogs that are new to grooming should be introduced to it slowly. Begin grooming sessions when your dog is relaxed, if possible.
